ART: RENOIR AND PAINTERS OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

I decided to kick off my last day of vacation with this homemade french toast and my current novel, Something Blue. I just finished the the former episode Something Borrowed. It's the kind of book that you don't have to think too much, ponder on too much; it's the kind of book that you may just lay back in a lazy afternoon and get yourself to the mood of gossip.

After breakfast, Tim and I went directly to National Palace Museum for our second art exhibition this summer: "Renoir and Painters of the Twentieth Century."

We went there 30 minutes earlier than the group tour. I always love to follow the group tour, which I think is the short cut to learn more about the artist. The price is fair as well.

Some museums like National Palace Museum require visitors to put their bags (bigger than A4) in the lockers (they're free).

I ended up liking another painter but not Renoir.

Her name is Marie Laurencin, from France. She has a very strong personality in her paintings, which makes it hard to ignore. The women in her paintings have skins so white as snow. I think they'd make wonderful illustrations.

And it occurred to me that I'd seen her painting before.
My sister cut this painting from her art textbook.
